SOL-R® Energy Saving Glass contains a nearly invisible
low-emissivity coating and argon gas that dramatically improves thermal efficiency (R or U Value) while reducing your home’s unwanted solar heat gain.
SOL-R® glass also blocks UV rays, reducing the fading of furniture, flooring, and window coverings.

Sol-R® Shield 270

It’s a perfect glass for fighting the heat. It reduces solar heat gain by 50% or more when compared to ordinary glass. In fact, its solar heat gain coefficient is better than code requirements.
SOL-R® 1 Shield 270’s patented coating blocks 86% of the sun’s infrared heat. Our solar control glass actually outperforms the tinted glass typically used in hot, sunny areas. And because of its exceptional clarity, the light streams in.
There’s no heavy bronze or smoke-colored tint to spoil the image. Then when cold weather rolls in, SOL-R® 1 Shield 270 keeps homes cozy by blocking heat loss.

Preserve™
Spattered paint isn’t the only problem. There’s excess stucco. Slopped mud. Scratched glass. By the time construction is over, the windows are a mess. But if your windows are covered with Preserve™, cleanup is a snap.

Preserve is a clear, removable protective film that we apply on both the inside and outside of insulating glass (IG) units, including those made with our new Loå3-366 (low-e cubed) high-performance glass. So when the job is over, builders simply peel off Preserve and throw it away – along with all the grime, even the labels.
