DESIGN FEATURES

FRAME:

  • Manufactured from select kiln-dried, preservative treated, solid stain-grade pine lumber ready for finishing.
  • Exterior frame is cladded with 0.06" thick extruded aluminum and available in 9 designer colors.
  • Pre-punched Aluminum extruded nailing fin comes standard for easy installation.

DOOR PANELS:

  • 1 3/4" thick panels are cladded with 0.06" thick extruded aluminum.
  • 2 3/4" wide LVL core (Laminated Veneer Lumber) clear stain-grade stiles are constructed with MPL (Moisture Protection Layer). Top and bottom rail is 2 3/4" solid clear stain-grade pine. Panel joints are mortise and tenon joints for tight quality design.

SILL:

  • High performance one-piece fiberglass reinforced pultruded sill with stainless steel sill track cover.
  • A fiberglass sill has better durability and thermal performance, and reduces conductive heat loss.
  • The sill is constructed with sill horns that raise the vertical frame jambs away from the floor, preventing potential wicking of damaging moisture.
  • Integral drainage system with exterior weep covers provides maximum water tightness.

GLAZING:

  • Optional SOL-R® Shield glazing provides maximum energy efficiency in all climates.
  • Sealed unit is glazed from the interior with treated solid pine wood glazing beads.

SCREENS:

Heavy-duty extruded aluminum screens to match exterior cladding color.

HARDWARE:

  • Single-point mortise lock and wood interior handle, complete with a brown die-cast exterior pull is standard.






  • Optional Decorative Handle set with single or dual-point mortise lock is available in a variety of finishes.

SDL - 1" SIMULATED DIVIDED LITE OPTION

Gienow’s SDL offers a traditional look without sacrificing energy efficiency. Metal clad bars are adhered to the exterior surface of the sealed unit and wood bars to the interior. Available in 9 designer colors, and with an optional shadow bar between the glass.
SML - 2" SIMULATED DIVIDED LITE OPTION

Gienow’s 2" Simulated Mullion bar creates a bold appearance of 2 separate windows. Available in 9 designer colors, and with an optional shadow bar between the glass. SML’s can be used on their own or in combination with 1" SDL bars.

Preserve™
Spattered paint isn’t the only problem. There’s excess stucco. Slopped mud. Scratched glass. By the time construction is over, the windows are a mess. But if your windows are covered with Preserve™, cleanup is a snap.

Preserve is a clear, removable protective film that we apply on both the inside and outside of insulating glass (IG) units, including those made with our new Loå3-366 (low-e cubed) high-performance glass. So when the job is over, builders simply peel off Preserve and throw it away – along with all the grime, even the labels.
