SCREEN:

• Gienow screens are made from a rigid aluminum frame and unobstructed by hardware operation.

WEATHERSTRIPPING:

• Gienow’s primary weather-stripping is an extruded Lozaron^® bulb seal. This product is an innovative plastomer material designed for greater resilience, reliability, and ease of installation. It offers the elasticity of natural rubber with the strength and durability of high performance plastic. It stays flexible and resilient even in the coldest extreme temperature. It won’t freeze in contact with other materials or become brittle. Additionally, it resists rot, mildew, and corrosion.
• A fin seal weather-strip on the sash provides a secondary seal that keeps heavy weather from penetrating to the main seal.

• Truth Maxim^® roto operators ensure smooth and consistent operation throughout the lifespan of the window. Larger sized casements feature a dual arm operator for easy operation.
• Optional premium collapsible handle and decorative hardware available.

SOL-R® Shield 366

SOL-R^® Shield 366 has been specially formulated to reject the sun’s heat without affecting the view. It lets more light in and keeps more heat out. So your home stays cool and comfortable. Our patented LoE³-366 coating provides the ultimate in performance and clarity of all our LoE products.

Sol-R^® Shield 270

It’s a perfect glass for fighting the heat. It reduces solar heat gain by 50% or more when compared to ordinary glass. In fact, its solar heat gain coefficient is better than code requirements.
SOL-R^® Shield 270’s patented coating blocks 86% of the sun’s infrared heat. Our solar control glass actually outperforms the tinted glass typically used in hot, sunny areas. And because of its exceptional clarity, the light streams in.

SOL-R^® All Climate 272

Think of SOL-R^® All Climate 272 as invisible insulation. The insulating value of its patented coating is nearly double that of an ordinary insulating glass unit – the equivalent of a quad-glazed window. In winter, SOL-R^® All Climate 272 reflects heat back into the room.
In summer, it rejects the sun’s heat and damaging UV rays. In fact, it blocks enough solar heat that cooling loads can be cut by 25% or more compared to ordinary low-e or clear glass. SOL-R^® All Climate 272 even out performs the tinted glass often used in warm, sunny climates.

SOL-R^® Tint 240

Wherever glare is a problem, Cardinal LoE2-240 glass is the ideal solution. It’s a specially treated version of our finest LoE2 glass.
Unlike other tinted glasses, LoE2-240 provides effective glare control and maximum solar heat blockage – without creating discomfort near the glass inside or the visual nuisance of highly reflective glass outside. But LoE2-240 does much more than control glare.
It also maintains year-round comfort. In summer, it blocks oppressive solar heat gain and maintains cool glass temperatures. Then when winter rolls around, it keeps inside glass temperatures warm. Glare control and comfort-that’s the LoE2-240 advantage.

Preserve™
Spattered paint isn’t the only problem. There’s excess stucco. Slopped mud. Scratched glass. By the time construction is over, the windows are a mess. But if your windows are covered with Preserve™, cleanup is a snap.

Preserve is a clear, removable protective film that we apply on both the inside and outside of insulating glass (IG) units, including those made with our new Loå3-366 (low-e cubed) high-performance glass. So when the job is over, builders simply peel off Preserve and throw it away – along with all the grime, even the labels.

Gienow’s SDL offers a traditional look without sacrificing energy efficiency. Metal clad bars are adhered to the exterior surface of the sealed unit and wood bars to the interior. Available in 9 designer colors, and with an optional shadow bar between the glass.

Gienow’s 2" Simulated Mullion bar creates a bold appearance of 2 separate windows. Available in 9 designer colors, and with an optional shadow bar between the glass. SML’s can be used on their own or in combination with 1" SDL bars.
