Energy efficiency is impacted by the combination of frame material used selected, the window style, and the glass used. Compare the performance of our various window styles against the following criteria:
R Value: Restrictive ambient air flow. The amount of head retained by a window; the higher the number, the better the glass
U Factor: Rate of heat loss. The total ultraviolet rays entering a window, generally responsible for fading; the lower the number, the better the glass.
SHGC: Solar Heat Gain Coefficient. The amount of solar radiation entering a house and registering as heat gain; the lower the number, the less heat gained.
VT: Visible Light Transmission. How much visible light enters through the glass; the higher the number, the more light gets through.
