If the windows you select have wood components, these portions will need to be painted or stained. In every case the interior trim (casing) will be made paint-ready by our installers, and you will be responsible for applying the finishing coat of paint. However, if you need a hand, we have some great painters that we can refer to you if you’d prefer to have a pro complete this work as well!
Gienow Renovations installs low maintenance vinyl and aluminum clad vinyl windows that do not require additional finishing. With these products, the only painting required after we leave would be for the wood casing around the window.
If you choose aluminum clad wood windows, the interior wood surfaces do need to be painted, stained or sealed after installation to protect them, but the exterior aluminum does not need to be finished.
For doors, most frames and slabs need to be finished, but some prefinished options do exist.

Gienow Renovations offers an industry leading warranty, including a LIFETIME warranty against seal failure and a 10 year labour warranty on products purchased through and installed by Gienow Renovations.
